BRONC FOOTBALL - Casper Kelly Walsh scored three times in the final 5:50 of the first half to pull away from the Sheridan Broncs and win the season opener at Homer Scott Stadium 42-20. Two critical Bronc turnovers late in the half ended up being their demise. Next Friday, the Broncs play on the road at Cheyenne East.

RAMS / EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams, Tongue River Eagles and Glenrock Herders get together this afternoon at Homer Scott Stadium for zero-week scrimmages. The Rams open the regular season next Thursday, with the Eagles going Friday.

UW - In other football, the Wyoming Cowboys open a week from today at home against Weber State. Tomorrow night the Denver Broncos play a pre-season game at home against Chicago. You can hear the game live starting at 5 o'clock with the Bronco pre-game show on AM 1410 KWYO.

VOLLEYBALL - The Big Horn Lady Rams volleyball team went 3-0 on Day 1 of the Riverton Invitational Tournament. The Lady Broncs went 2-1. The Sheridan College Lady Generals are in Lamar, Colorado for a tournament; they went 1-2 on Day 1.

CROSS-COUNTRY - The Sheridan Lady Bronc cross-country team finished 2nd at the Casper Invitational. Dana Morin finished 1st, with Lela Carpenter 2nd. The Broncs finished 4th overall with Dylan Morin the top finisher in 4th place; Seth Ulvestad was 6th.
