LOCAL GOLF - Sheridan High School golfers Kamrin Allen and Cameron Lindell are playing in the Junior America's Cup Golf Tournament in Pasadena, California. On day two Allen fell off the pace a bit and Lindell improved his position. Allen shot 73 Tuesday and 82 yesterday and fell to 49th place, Lindell shot 79 Tuesday and 78 yesterday and is tied for 52nd place.
The other Wyoming players, Kyle Fanning from Cheyenne, shot 78 / 70 and is tied in 22nd place. Beau Ehlers from Evanston fired rounds of 84/83 and is tied for 63rd place. The Junior Americas Cup Tournament concludes today.

LOCAL HUNTING - Starting Monday the Sheridan Police Department will start taking sign ups for their city limit bow hunting season. Sheridan police officer Travis Koltiska says anyone interested in taking part in the program must have the proper Wyoming hunting license and permit from the city. Koltiska says there are also a couple of changes to the area's with in the city limits that will be open to hunters. The P.D. will start giving out hunting permission slips on Monday. Bow hunting seasons open in September. Complete season regulations can be found at the Game and Fish office in Sheridan or at license selling agents.

SHERIDAN REC DISTRICT - The Sheridan Recreation District will host the J.D.Mullianx Tennis Tournament August 8th and 9th at the Thorne-rider park tennis courts. They will have men's, women's and mixed doubles. The cost is 20 dollars per event. They are taking registration at the Rec District office in Thorne-rider park.

The Rec District will open registration for Little guy football Monday. Registration will run all week for all flag football and tackle football leagues. Parents need to sign up players at the Rec office during business hours Monday through Friday. August 10th they will have a tackle coaches clinic with the Sheridan High School coaching staff and a players clinic on August 12th. The first day of practice is August 13th, and gear check out will be on the 15th. Flag football coaches meetings will take place August 17th. League play for both programs will be August 25th.

WYOMING FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys football team will play a road game at Colorado September 19th. Yesterday Fox sports Rocky Mountain announced the network will televise that game live. The game is set to kickoff at 1:30 at Folsom Field. With that announcement, the Cowboys will have nine of their twelve games televised this season. The last time the pokes played in Boulder was 1997 when the Buffalo's pulled out a late 20-19 victory.

MLB - The Colorado Rockies and New York Mets were rained out last night, they conclude the series tonight.
