Jerry Doyle
Saturday 9pm - Midnight on KROE
www.jerrydoyle.com |
The real Jerry Doyle is not far removed from
the character that he played, as they both uphold high standards,
are outspoken and live with vivid pasts. The Jerry Doyle Show is
a mix of politics, pop culture and current events. Doyle's strong
opinions, diverse background and quick wit can appeal to all listening
audiences. At the height of a successful ten-year career on Wall
Street, Doyle decided on a new challenge. "I was 35 years old
and in a position to take a shot at whatever I wanted to try,"
says Doyle. "The Air Force said I was too old to fly fighter
jets. I thought about becoming a fishing boat captain, before deciding
that acting seemed pretty cool," said Doyle.
In
1991, he packed up and headed to Hollywood. With no prior acting
experience, Doyle hit the streets and phones with a vengeance. Within
weeks of arriving in Los Angeles, he landed his first job. He was
hired as a "day player" on The Bold and the Beautiful,
this role lasted almost a year. He then went on to star in the long-running
sci-fi series Babylon 5. After the success of Babylon 5, Doyle starred
in the TNT original movies The River of Souls, A Call to Arm and
to play many other roles.
Taking
a hiatus from acting in 2000, Doyle pursued yet another personal
goal. A long time political junkie, he ran for the U.S House of
Representatives for California's 24th District. While the March
primary saw him become the Republican Congressional Nominee, in
the November election race he came up short. Doyle grew up in Brooklyn,
NY, the eldest son of a police officer and a stay-at-home mom. He
received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University, while also receiving his flight training.
After
graduation, he joined the marketing and sales division of Falcon
Jet Corporation. Doyle recently completed shooting an independent
film entitled Open House and the HBO original feature Lost Treasure.
He has also starred in Code Hunter, Devious Beings and The Long
Ride Home. His series work includes: NYPD Blue, JAG, Martial Law,
Sliders, Beverly Hills 90210, Homefront, and Reasonable Doubts.
Doyle
has also done extensive voice over work on the animated series,
Duckman, and Captain Simian, along with numerous national commercial
voice campaigns. Active in the community, Doyle has served as President
of the Easter Seal Society, Children's Hospital Board of Trustees
and the Multiple Sclerosis Board of Directors. He has raised funds
for many charities including Disabled American Veterans, UCLA Medical
Center, Breast Cancer, Aids Walk-LA, Cystic Fibrosis and the Motion
Picture and Television Fund. He has received numerous awards and
accolades including Honorary F-16 Test Pilot, Honorary Naval Aviator
and Distinguished Supporter of the Nation's Space Program. |

Bill Handel
Host of "Handel on the Law"
www.handelonthelaw.com |
"Handel
on the Law" is a unique combination of useful advice, and outrageous
Handel remarks. As Bill always says, he loves to inform you "
you have absolutely no case". It didn't take long for KFI to
realize that this politically incorrect, buffet - loving, self -
proclaimed " Latino Jew" had the tell - it - like - it
- is attitude listeners were looking for. "Handel Yourself
in the Morning" soon became one of the top morning shows in
the market and "Handel on the Law" now goes out to a national
audience. Whether you're talking about Big Brother, Big Business,
Big Legal Problems, or Big Macs, you'll rarely find Bill without
an opinion. His rapid - fire commentary gives listeners the information
they crave in the way they crave It. Bill Handel Is an energetic,
highly entertaining, yet intelligent alternative to pseudo-intellectual,
boring, "blah, blah, blah" talk radio. For thousands of
talk radio listeners, waking up just wouldn't be the same without
Bill Handel. |

Sean Hannity
Syndicated
announcer
www.hannity.com |
Sean
Hannity got his start in commercial radio after drawing attention
and enthusiasm from his college radio station. He placed a "JOB
WANTED" ad in the R&R, billing himself as "the most
talked about college radio host in America." Hannity grew up
in Franklin Square, Long Island in the shadows of Manhattan. By
1997, Hannity finally crossed the Williamsburg Bridge and joined
77WABC Radio in New York City, the nation's largest market. There
he quickly became the #1 rated News and Talk show in the afternoon
drive period. But that was only the beginning. The show became so
successful that by September 2001, ABC Radio decided to syndicate
Hannity across the country. That bold move was such a success that
Talker's Magazine deemed it, "the fastest growing syndicated
talk show in talk radio history." After just one year in syndication,
that same publication moved Hannity up to 2nd place in the nation
in their semi-annual list of nationally syndicated radio talk show
hosts. Voted "Talk Personality of the Year" in 2001 by
the readers of R&R, Sean Hannity's energy, charisma and seasoned
professionalism score high points with audiences and critics alike.

Kim Komando
Host of The Kim Komando Show
www.komando.com |
Kim
began her businesses in 1992 after several years of selling computer
and telephone systems for IBM, AT&T and Unisys. She started with
a radio show at KFYI and a column in the Arizona Republic.
She started
as an architecture major. But her father asked for some research
on what various jobs paid. The research, and the report she produced,
changed her life. She discovered that the computer industry paid
very well. Being interested in money and in computers, she changed
her major to computer information systems.
Kim graduated
in 1985. She went into sales, but after seven years, she grew tired
of the corporate grind. So on Jan. 1, 1992, she went out on her
own.
Like most entrepreneurs,
Kim struggled to get her business off the ground. The first project
was an infomercial, with which she planned to sell an instructional
video on using computers.
It took a year
to finish the infomercial. Kim was living on her savings, which
were nearly depleted. Finally, the infomercial ran on late-night
television. After the airing of the first show, she called to see
if the tapes were selling. They were moving out the door, she was
told.
"I was
busted. My first check was for $26,000. I thought, 'Oh, my God,
I've never seen so much money at once in my life.'"
After finishing
the infomercial, Kim pitched America Online about taking over its
computer section. AOL agreed, and Kim launched the effort on Thanksgiving
1994. She picked a holiday in hopes that her first day would be
slow. It wasn't; the response was overwhelming.
The pact with
AOL lasted several years, as did a stint with Fox News. During this
period, in the middle '90s, she got her radio show off the ground.
She first approached the networks, but they were uninterested. A
CBS vice president told her computers were a fad, much like pet
rocks.
Rejected by
the big guys, she formed a partnership with Barry Young, a leading
talk show host at KFYI in Phoenix. They formed WestStar TalkRadio
Network and built a studio. Kim did the marketing; Barry kept the
equipment running and formatted the show. Gradually, the show blossomed,
as hundreds of radio stations signed on.
Today
more than 400 radio stations carry her weekly show around the world.
Kim also is a syndicated columnist, appearing in over 100 newspapers,

Kim
purchased AM 930 KROE in 1974, and since then it has been a steadily
expanding business as part of Lovcom, Inc. Under Kim's management,
KROE moved from a 1000 watt dawn to dusk station operating out of
a mobile home on "dump road" to a 5000 watt 24 hour station
in a 3000+ square foot building on "KROE Lane." Kim also
gave Sheridan its first 24 hour stereo FM station (KROE 94.9FM)
in 1977. In the mid 90's KROE acquired KWYO's oldies FM station,
which was given new a new life as country station KYTI, while KROE
FM became KZWY (Z94FM). Another building expansion and completely
new studios were added in 2001/2002. Today, the company now known

George Noory
Weeknight
host of "Coast to Coast AM"
www.coasttocoastam.com
|
While
still a teenager, George joined NICAP, the UFO organization that
was a precursor to today's MUFON. George immersed himself in the
field, "so much so that I decided I wanted to go into broadcasting
in order to do unusual stories in the paranormal and stories that
the mainstream media didn't want to touch." George's very first
broadcast interview, while a young radio reporter for Detroit's
WCAR-AM, was with Roswell expert/physicist Stanton Friedman, with
whom he has maintained a lifelong friendship.
Now
with a 30-year history in the broadcasting field under his belt
in such positions as executive television news producer and news
director, George brings a wide swath of experience to the table.
In fact, at age 28 he was the youngest major news market news director
in the country when he was at KMSP-TV in Minneapolis. But it was
just a couple of years ago that he came to the attention of Premiere
Radio Networks, who heard him on his late-night radio program on
KTRS in St. Louis. Known as "the Nighthawk," George's
penchant for covering paranormal topics with enthusiasm and skill
impressed Premiere. He was then brought on board to host the Sunday
night Coast to Coast show. And as Art's back problems became more
severe, George was honored to fill in for him on a regular basis.
"Coast
to Coast AM may just be the most unusual show I have ever witnessed
or been a part of. You really almost have to be born into that arena,
I think, in order to handle it. I was very lucky in that's the way
I was guiding my own career. It was this thirst to really get to
the bottom of some of these stories that kept pushing me,"
George said.
Other
highlights of George's life include serving nine years in the U.S.
Naval Reserve and winning three Emmy Awards as a news executive.
But certainly manning the helms of Coast to Coast AM is a pinnacle
for George, allowing him to pursue the unexplained on a grand scale.
It's become his destiny to guide the huge audience from more than
500 radio stations through the night in this dynamic format created
by Art Bell. Across America, and around the world on the Internet,
George Noory's voice rings out.

has shared his sport with radio listeners in his home territory
of the states of Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, and the Dakotas. Jim
says his goal is, "to keep listeners here in our area up to

to have even non-rodeo fans hear enough about the sports, regularly
enough to have a better appreciation of it...to hear names that
perhaps they work with or live next to, and just may go watch as
a result."
On
radio stations across the 5-state Old West Region, the voice of
Jim Thompson brings the original western sport to listeners every
day. With a background in radio and television sports, this well-known
rodeo announcer blends the best of two careers. He's a voted South

Ted Wenckus
Marketing Specialist |
After
finishing school at the University of Wyoming in photojournalism,
Ted moved to Chicago where he partnered in management and ownership
of one of the nation's top 5 commercial design and photography studios.
Their business produced catalogs for Sears, Montgomery Ward, Spiegel
and several other top catalog companies, mostly involving table-top
and room set design and photography. After 30 years, he retired from
that company to move back to Wyoming, the land he loves, and to be
closer to his family. Ted currently lives in Story. He started with
Sheridan Media in 2000 and is excited to use his extensive advertising
and marketing knowledge here in Wyoming in a slightly different but
related field. On the advise of his wife and friends, as to not scare
women and impressionable young children, the picture to the left is
of his dog, not Ted himself. |
