09/28/07 Sports for Friday The State Tennis Tournament opened yesterday in Cheyenne. After day one, the Lady Broncs sit in second place; the Broncs in 3rd. For the girls, number #1 singles won and lost, and will play in the consolation bracket. Both #2 and #3 doubles teams made it to the semi finals. Number one singles player Emily Holst won two matches, and is in the semi finals today. #2 singles player Evelyn Ferries won and lost, and is in the consolation bracket. For the Broncs, all three Bronc doubles teams took two matches, and are in the semi finals. In singles play, #1 singles player Seth Stadick lost, then won, and is in the consolation bracket. Number #2 singles player David Berry was eliminated after losing twice yesterday. In football action today, we will have a double header for you live on AM 14-10 KWYO. at 2 o’clock this afternoon. The Big Horn Rams host Moorcroft, tonight. The Broncs will play at Cheyenne Central. The Broncs are 4-1 overall; Central is 3-2. The 5-A League has been brutal overall, and wins are coming at a premium for most teams. Now the Broncs take on one of the state's best teams in Cheyenne Central. The Indians feature the passing combination of quarterback Ben Pacheco to Wideout Brock Hayden. Coach Julian says the Broncs have put in a lot of time this week getting their offensive game plan ready. We will have the game on AM 14-10 KWYO for you tonight, starting with the First Federal Pre-Game Show at 6:30. Kickoff is at 7 o’clock. The Tongue River Eagles are on the road at Upton this afternoon. The Eagles are on a pretty good roll, winning two-in-a-row since starting 0-2. Even though today’s game is non-conference, Coach Chuck Walters expects a tough game. Also this afternoon, the NSI Wolves play at Hulett. Wyoming is idle tomorrow. The Pokes open MWC play next Saturday, at home against TCU. The Denver broncos play at Indy Sunday afternoon. Broadcast time on AM 1410 KWYO will be at 1 o’clock. The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams run at the Worland Invitational today. The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will dual Casper Natrona and Kelly Walsh at Natrona County High School today. Again, our broadcast schedule today on AM 1410 KWYO will have Big Horn and Moorcroft at 2 o’clock, and the Broncs and Cheyenne Central broadcast at 6:30. The Colorado Rockies have won 11 in a row after pounding the Dodgers 10-4 last night. Now they open up a three game series at home against Arizona. The Rockies are two games behind the Diamondbacks for the division lead, and one game back in the Wild Card chase behind San Diego. 09/27/07 Sports for Thursday The Lady Generals volleyball team and Casper both are 3-0 in Wyoming conference play, as the teams get ready to meet tonight in the Hoffman Dome at Sheridan College. The Lady Generals took a couple of tough losses last weekend at a tournament in Torrington against two top 20 teams. Tonight’s match up with the T-Birds is big for both teams. The match is scheduled to get underway at 7 o’clock. The Sheridan High School tennis players are in Cheyenne today for day one of the State Tennis Championships. The tournament concludes Saturday. The Sheridan High School cross-country teams run at the Worland Invitational tomorrow. Coach Art Bauers says this meet comes at the perfect time for Sheridan in their training progression. Bauers will join us Saturday morning at Perkins on The Coaches Show. The program comes to you live at 8am on AM 14-10 KWYO. The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers have a double conference dual in Casper tomorrow against Natrona and Kelly Walsh. Lady Broncs coach Larry White says it will be a good meet for the Lady Broncs. The regular season ends next week at an invite in Gillette, then the conference meet October 12th and 13th, with the State Swimming and Diving Championships set for Gillette October 26th and 27th. In high school volleyball, the Sheridan Lady Broncs host a match with Gillette tomorrow night. The varsity match is scheduled for 7 o’clock. The Big Horn Lady Rams host Moorcroft in their homecoming match tomorrow at noon. The Tongue River Lady Eagles will play this weekend at a tournament in the Big Horn Basin. In football action tomorrow our own Dave Wooten will have the live play-by-play of the Big Horn / Moorcroft game. Kickoff is set for 1 o’clock on KWYO. The Rockies have won team record 10-straight games, after last night’s 2-0 win over the Dodgers. They finish up the series in LA tonight, and end the regular season with three at home with Arizona. 09/26/07 Sports for Wednesday The Sheridan College Lady Generals volleyball teams is 3-0 in conference play. They host a match tomorrow night with Casper. College Head Coach Todd Cooper says this a big early season conference match for the Lady Generals, and they are off to a pretty good start to the first month of the season. But, Cooper says, they stumbled a little last weekend at a tournament in Torrington. Tomorrow night’s match will start at 7 o’clock in the Hoffman Dome at Sheridan College. The 2007-08 college basketball season opens Monday with the first day of practice for the Generals and Lady Generals. Lady Generals head coach Frank Mcarthy welcomes in a very good freshmen class that includes a couple of pretty good transfers, including former Wyoming Cowgirl Tawnee Robinson. It’s just the first week, and McCarthy says that for him, team building is the main focus of the next couple of weeks. Joel Davidson enters his fifth season as the generals head coach. This roster is the best he has put together. On paper, the Generals are loaded with talent; the speed and size looks especially impressive. Look for the Generals to get out of the gate fast. Fans may be treated to a special season. This weekend the annual Sheridan College Fall Rodeo will be held at the Sheridan County fair grounds. Sheridan College rodeo coach C.W. Tollefson says rodeo fans will enjoy some great college rodeo this weekend. The team is only a week into the fall season, but Tollefson says they’ve already had some good performances. On the high school front, the Sheridan High School Lady Broncs have switched up their schedule a bit this week. Instead of playing Worland at home Friday, and Gillette Saturday, they will now play Gillette at home Friday night at 7 o’clock, and host Worland Saturday afternoon. In other volleyball action, the Big Horn Lady Rams play two matches at home this week against Moorcroft on Friday at noon, and Wright Saturday evening at 6. The Tongue River Lady Eagles will spend the weekend playing in a tournament hosted by both Greybull and Riverside high schools. The Sheridan High School tennis teams open play tomorrow at the State Tennis Championships in Cheyenne. The tournament runs through Sunday. The Sheridan Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams run at the Worland Invitational Friday. In football action this week, we have a live double header for you Friday. We will start with the Big Horn Rams hosting Moorcroft. Kickoff is at 1 o’clock. Then, the Sheridan Broncs at Cheyenne Central play at 7 o’clock. Both games will be broadcast on AM 14-10 KWYO. The game can be heard on KWYO. In local golf notes, there’s a great late season tournament for local golfers to get involved with next weekend. Rock Sathre will host is annual Oktoberfest tournament at the Powder Horn on Sunday, October 7th. It’s a two person team event. Teams will play all 27 holes, using a different format on each of the nine holes. The cost is $70 per player. Shotgun start will be at 9am - lunch and awards will follow play. 09/25/07 Sports for Tuesday The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams open the State Tournament Thursday in Cheyenne. At the North Regional over this past weekend, the Lady Broncs finished 2nd, while the Broncs were 4th. Coach Lorna Brooks says their regional results were a little disappointing, but the players have a chance to turn that around this week at the State Championships. It’s a short week, as the players have just a couple of days to get ready for the State Meet and the possibility of having to play in a lot of wind. The Sheridan High School cross-country teams have two meets left before their Regional Meet. They run at Worland Friday. Coach Art Bauers says all the runners continue to make good progress. And with just two meets left before their post season races begin, the work outs reflect the need to really be at the top of their game over the next four weeks. The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will dual the Casper Schools Friday. They have three weeks until the beginning of their post season. Coach Larry White says they did well at the Sheridan Invitational Saturday, and with that result it’s a confidence builder for the girls to know they are right in the mix with the rest of the top 4-A teams in the state. The swimmers have had a great season to date, and White says the Lady Bronc divers have started to pick up the pace as well, and they expect good things from Ari Connell and Larissa Mcalla. The Sheridan Lady Bronc volleyball team has a change of schedule. This week, they’ve flipped their matches with Gillette and Worland set for Friday and Saturday. Gillette will now be in Sheridan Friday night. The varsity match will be played at 7 o’clock; the Worland match will be Saturday at 5 o’clock. In other local volleyball this week, the Tongue River Lady Eagles will play at a tournament hosted by Greybull and Riverside high schools. In local football action this week, the Sheridan Bronc TV’s will play at Homer Scott Stadium this afternoon at 4:30 against Billings Skyview. On Friday, the varsity will play at Cheyenne Central. The Broncs are 4-1 overall; Cheyenne Central is 3-2. The Big Horn Rams have homecoming Friday at one. They kick off with Moorcroft. 09/24/07 Sports for Monday All four Sheridan County football teams took victories in week four. The NSI Wolves picked up their first win, winning at Midwest 8-0 Friday night. The Big Horn Rams will keep their number one 2-A ranking after cruising to a 43-12 win over Rocky Mountain. The Tongue River Eagles beat Greybull Friday 24-7. The Eagles were in complete control throughout the game. The offensive line dominated, as the Eagles ran all over the Buffalos. The Eagles didn’t have to throw the ball much, but when they did, quarterback rob Johnson Rarly had any pressure. Now the Eagles have won two-in-a-row, and head out on the road this week for a game in Upton. The Sheridan Broncs saw a 14-0 second half lead go away, only to pull out a 17-15 win over Cody with a late drive in the 4th quarter. The Broncs scored on their second offensive play, and took a 14-0 lead with three minutes to play in the half. Cody scored twice in a minute and 45 seconds, to take a 15-14 lead with 6 minutes to play. The Broncs jumped on running back Josh Dunkelberger’s back, and he carried them down the field on two big runs that set up the game winning field goal. With 4 and half minutes to play, Ian Henry came on for a 32 yard field goal attempt. The Broncs had some kicking problems in the Laramie game and the loss at Kelly Walsh, but Henry came through for the win. The Broncs are 4-1 overall, and will play at Cheyenne Central Friday. The Wyoming Cowboys survived 7 turnovers, and pulled out a late 34-33 win at Ohio University in an ugly game that had 11 total turnovers. This week the Pokes are idle, then play in two weeks at home against TCU. The Denver Broncs looked not so good yesterday, losing at home to Jacksonville 23-14. They play at Indianapolis Sunday. Here’s the football broadcast for this week on AM 14-10 KWYO: In other action, the State Golf Tournaments finished up the season over the weekend in the 4-A. The Sheridan Lady Broncs finished 10th, the Broncs finished 6th. No players finished in the top 10 at the 2-A State Finals. The Tongue River Eagles saw their first day 16 shot lead evaporate, and they lost by three shots to the host team Lusk. Three Eagles finished in the top ten: Micheal Robinson was 2nd, Lucas Carr was 6th, and John Hannahs was 7th. For the Lady Eagles, Aspen Rawlings finished 7th. At the North Regional Tennis Tournament the Lady Broncs finished 2nd, and the Broncs finished 4th. Both teams head to Cheyenne this week for the State Tennis Championships, which get underway Thursday. In volleyball action, the Sheridan Lady Broncs and the Big Horn Lady Rams. Both were eliminated from the Casper Invitational Saturday in the quarter finals. This week, the Lady Broncs play twice at home. They host Worland Friday evening at Gillette Saturday. In cross country action, both the Broncs and Lady Broncs finished 6th at the Rapid City Invitational. This week, they run at the Worland Invitational Friday afternoon.
09/21/07 Sports for Friday The Sheridan Broncs will host the Cody Broncs at Homer Scott Stadium tonight. Sheridan dropped a 20-18 decision at Kelly Walsh last week, while Cody blew a 24-7 4th quarter lead and lost to Star Valley 31-30. Sheridan head coach Don Julian says it should be a good match-up. He says Cody had some bad luck a week ago, and they have a pretty good team. We will have tonight’s game for you on AM 14-10 KWYO. The First Federal Pre-Game Show leads off at 6:30, with kickoff at 7 o’clock. We will also have some afternoon football for you today live in Dayton, with the Tongue River Eagles hosting Greybull. Kick off will be at 2 o’clock on KWYO. The Big Horn Rams play their home opener this afternoon. They stand at 2-1 on the season, and are ranked this week number one in the Class 2-A Powder Poll. The Rams host Rocky Mountain today. Kickoff in Big Horn will be at 1 o’clock. The NSI Wolves will play on the road tonight at Mid West. The Wyoming Cowboys will be in Athens Ohio tomorrow, to face the Ohio University Bobcats. You can hear the game live on KWYO. Broadcast time is scheduled for noon. 09/20/07 Sports for Thursday Earlier this month Sheridan high school wrestling coach Corey Hamrick bagged a monster Wyoming elk archery hunting with family members. I asked Hamrick if he would give up the location where he harvested the big bull, but like most hunters and fishermen for that matter Hamrick is pretty secretive in giving out that kind information but I can tell you this. The Sheridan Bronc football team is getting ready to host Cody tomorrow night at home. We will broadcast the game live for you on our sister station am 14-10 KWYO the first federal pre-game show leads of at 6:30 with kickoff at 7 pm. The first part of our double header tomorrow will be a great match-up featuring the Tongue River eagles hosting Greybull kick off is scheduled for 2 o’clock on KWYO. 09/19/07 Sports for Wednesday The Big Horn Rams have assumed the top spot in the Class 2-A football poll, after knocking off previous number one Riverside in overtime last Friday. The Rams have been on the road for four consecutive weeks, as they get ready for their home opener Friday afternoon against the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies .Coach Bob St. John says it’s nice for everyone to finally get a home game. Rocky Mountain comes into the game 0-3. They got blown out by Tongue River last week, but St. John says the Rams don’t take any team for granted. Kickoff Friday afternoon is set for 1 o’clock. The Tongue River Eagles return to action in Dayton after two weeks on the road. They got their first win last Friday in that 40-13 rout at Rocky Mountain. Coach Chuck Walters says having a win has made practice this week much more positive, as they get ready to host Greybull, and they’ll face a pretty good running team. 09/18/07 Sports for Tuesday The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will spend the weekend at home with some good competition coming to town. They host a dual with Cheyenne Central Friday, and host their own invitational Saturday. There is only three weeks left in the regular season. Coach Larry White says the season has gone by fast, and the Lady Broncs have put together a pretty good season so far. White also says the added competition in the pool has made the Lady Broncs a much better team. The meet Friday starts at 5 o’clock. The invitational will begin with diving at 8:30am Saturday morning. The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams have three meets left before their regional meet. They run in Rapid City Friday. Coach Art Bauers says the next three weeks are an important stretch of meets for the Broncs and Lady Broncs; and their training has gotten a lot more intense as they get the runners ready for the big meets over the next month. They run at the Rapid City Invitational Friday. In volleyball action this week, the Sheridan College Lady Generals play at Northwest College tonight. The Lady Generals are 2-0 in Wyoming conference play. They’ll join several teams at the Annual Wyo-Braska Shhot-Out Tournament, which opens Thursday at Eastern Wyoming Community College in Torrington. The Sheridan Lady Bronc and the Big Horn Lady Ram volleyball teams will play at the Casper Invitational tournament at the Casper Events Center on Friday and Saturday. 09/17/07 Sports for Monday The Big Horn Rams beat Riverside Friday in a great defensive battle. The rams broke through in overtime to win the game. 13-12. Coach Bob St. John says overtime makes everyone nervous, but the players got the job done. The Rams are now 2-1 on the season. They play their home opener Friday against 0-3 Rocky Mountain. The Tongue River Eagles got their first win of the season in a big way Friday, blowing out Rocky Mountain 40-13 in Byron. Coach Chuck Walters says the Eagles had a big night against the Grizzlies; and scoring 40 points, the offense got a big shot of confidence. The Eagles are 1-2, and will host Greybull Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock. That game will be broadcast live on AM 14-10 KWYO. The Sheridan Broncs lost a heart breaker at Kelly Walsh Friday night. The Trojans held off the Broncs 20-18, in a game that came down to missed kicks. The Broncs opened the game with Josh Dunkelberger returning the opening kick 95 yards for a touchdown. Then, Kelly Walsh took a 14-6 lead, only to see Austin Woodward throw two second quarter touchdown passes to Dunkelberger. The Broncs had to go for two after both scores, couldn’t get over the goal line, and had an 18-14 lead at the half. Kelly Walsh scored late in the third quarter, but the Broncs had horrible field position the entire second half, and really never mounted a scoring threat. The kicking game haunted the Broncs all night after this first score, and on their defensive side of the ball, the Broncs played well against a great rushing offense. Friday night at 7 o’clock, Sheridan hosts Cody. The Wyoming Cowboys played behind all night and lost against Boise State 24-14 Saturday. This week, the Pokes play at Ohio University Saturday afternoon. The Denver Broncos got an overtime field goal from Jason Elam, to beat the Oakland Raiders yesterday 23-20. The Broncos are 2-0, and play at Jacksonville Sunday afternoon. The Tongue River Lady Eagles lost against Big Horn last Thursday, and came back Friday with a win over Moorcroft. This week, the Lady Eagles play at Sundance Friday, and host Wright Saturday. The Sheridan College Lady Generals continue their winning ways, taking matches from Western and Central Wyoming over the weekend. They stand at 18-4 and 2-0 in conference play. They play at Northwest College tomorrow night, and head to Torrington later this week for the three day Wyo-Braska shoot out tournament. The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will be at home this week.. They host a double dual with Cheyenne Central and Laramie Friday, and host the Sheridan Invitational Saturday. The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams are headed for their post season this week. 09/14/07 Sports for Friday The Big Horn Rams play at Riverside. The Rams are 1-1; the Rebels are 2-0 and ranked #1 in Class 2-A. Rams Coach Bob St. John says the game plan tonight is to stick with the basics and do that very well. The Tongue River Eagles play at Rocky Mountain tonight. The Eagles are 0-2, the Grizzlies are 0-2. Coach Chuck Walters says they really don’t know what to expect from Rocky. The Sheridan Broncs open conference play tonight at Kelly Walsh. 09/13/07 Sports for Thursday The Tongue River Eagles take an 0-2 record into their road game at Rocky Mountain.. tomorrow night. After a lopsided loss against Wright in week one, they were better last week - dropping a 14-7 game against Riverside. Head Coach Chuck Walters says the players remain positive as they get ready for the game tomorrow with the Grizzlies, and that the offense has to work on more consistency. But on the bright side, the defense is getting better. After tomorrow night’s game in Byron, the Eagles return to Dayton for a home game next week against Greybull. The Big Horn Rams play at Riverside tomorrow night. The Sheridan Broncs play at Casper Kelly Walsh, and the NSI Wolves will play at Guernsey. In college football, the Wyoming Cowboys play at Boise State Saturday night, and Sunday afternoon. Denver is at home against the Oakland Raiders. The week, the volleyball poll is out. The Rams head out onto the road again this week with a game Friday night at Riverside. The Sheridan High School tennis teams played matches at Kelly Walsh High School in Casper yesterday. The Lady Broncs lost their first dual of the season, falling to Kelly 4-1. The Broncs beat the Trojans 4-1. Next, they have matches against Cody and Powell in Sheridan Saturday. Matches begin at 10 o’clock. The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers beat Buffalo in a dual at the Sheridan Junior High pool yesterday. The Lady Broncs now head to Riverton for a dual Friday, and compete in the Riverton invite Saturday. The Lady Bronc volleyball team beat Buffalo last night. They will play road games in Cheyenne Friday and Saturday, against Central and East. The Tongue River Eagles football team plays at Rocky Mountain Friday night. Big Horn travels to play at Riverside, and NSI will be on the road at Guernsey. The Sheridan High School cross country runners compete in Douglas Friday, and the Sheridan Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers host the Sheridan Invitational Friday and Saturday at Kendrick Golf Course. The Sheridan College Lady Generals volleyball team is 16-3 on the season and will play two home matches this week. 09/11/07 Sports for Tuesday The Lady Bronc volleyball team is putting together a solid regular season, and are coming off two straight home wins against 4-A teams. They’ll step out of league play tonight, when they play at 3-A Buffalo. Lady Bronc coach Wendy Ruby says they won’t take any opponent lightly. After tonight’s match, they begin a good stretch of road games. First, down to Cheyenne this week for games against East and Central. Next week, they compete in the annual Casper invitational tournament before their next home match, scheduled for September 28th against Worland. That match will be a tune up for Gillette - they host the Camels the following day. The Sheridan High School cross country teams are making great strides as the Broncs and Lady Broncs hit the middle of their season. Coach Art Bauers says the shuffle is over, as they set their varsity teams for the final push toward the post season. Bauers says both teams have looked strong in the last couple of weeks. On Friday, they run at the Douglas Invitational, which is the site for the State Meet next month. The Sheridan Lady Bronc swimmers and divers host a dual today with Buffalo. Action is scheduled to start at 4 o’clock. This weekend, it’s off to Riverton Friday evening. They dual Riverton, then get a preview of the State Meet, as most of the top teams in the state will compete in the Riverton Invitational Saturday.. The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams took three out of four matches last Saturday over the Cheyenne schools. The Lady Broncs remain unbeaten. They play matches at Casper Kelly Walsh today, and travel to Powell Saturday for matches with the host teams and Cody. 09/10/07 Sports for Monday Only one of our Sheridan County football teams won over the weekend. This week, all four teams will play road games. The Sheridan Broncs went to 3-0, with a 33-0 shut-out of Laramie. The Broncs built a 15-0 halftime lead, and never looked back for their third straight win. The game was highlighted by several big plays, including this interception and touchdown from Justin Will in the first half. In the third quarter, running back Josh Dunkelberger broke the game open for the Broncs with a spectacular 57 yard run. The Broncs will play this week on the road at Casper Kelly Walsh, before returning home to face Cody on September 21st. The Big Horn Rams fell behind early, and their comeback came up short, losing at Sundance 33-24. This week, the Rams play at Riverside. The Tongue River Eagles dropped their second straight game 14-7 at Riverside. The Eagles play at Rocky Mountain. Friday night. The NSI Wolves lost 7-6 to Shoshoni. The Wolves play at Guernsey, Friday. In other football action, Wyoming beat Utah State 32-18. The Pokes travel to play at Boise State Saturday. The Big Horn Lady Rams took the championship in their bracket at the Big Horn Invitational over the weekend, winning the title Saturday in two straight games over Sundance. On Thursday night, the Lady Rams will play at Tongue River. The varsity match is scheduled for 7:30. The Sheridan Lady Bronc cross country teams placed 4th at the Gillette Invitational. Lela Carpenter led the way, finishing 7th. The Broncs finished 6th, with Ryan Sorenson as their top finisher in 7th place. The Lady Bronc tennis team remains unbeaten with two more victories, beating Cheyenne Central 4-1 and Cheyenne East 5-0. The Lady Broncs are 7-0 overall and 4-0 in conference play. The Broncs split their matches, losing to Central 3-2, and beating East 3-2. The Broncs are 2-3 overall, and 1-2 in conference play. The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers played at the Buffalo Invitational over the weekend. The Lady Broncs were third. Rachel Ryan placed 5th, and Mckensie Richins finished 10th for the Broncs. They were second as a team, and had three players make the top ten, led by Cameron Lindell in 6th place. Dan Mediate was 9th, and Toby Nicholas was 10th. This week, the Broncs and Lady Broncs will host the Sheridan Invitational at Kendrick Golf Course.
09/07/07 Sports for Friday The Sheridan Lady Bronc tennis team remains undefeated after shutting out Gillette five to nothing yesterday. Singles winners were Emily Holst and Evelyn Ferries. In the doubles, the teams of Shelby Garstad / Megan Jenkins, Annie Addelsperger / Hannah King, and Taylor Street /Kennedy Hill all won matches. The Lady Broncs are 5-0 overall and 4-0 in conference play. The Broncs lost their match to Gillette 4-1. The Broncs’ only win came in the singles, with David Berry picking up the win. Tomorrow, the Broncs and Lady Broncs play road matches in Cheyenne against East and Central. In volleyball action this week, Sheridan, Big Horn and Tongue River will all stay home to play. Big Horn High School is hosting their annual 12 team invitational tournament. Play begins this afternoon and continues tomorrow. The Sheridan Lady Broncs will play at home this evening against Laramie. Varsity match time is scheduled for 6 o’clock at Sheridan High School. The latest volleyball rankings are out in Class 1-A. 09/06/07 Sports for Thursday Sheridan Bronc QB Dustin Mcalla took a hit in the third quarter of last Friday night’s game at Miles City. Mcalla left the game with the Broncs in control. And for back up, Austin Woodward. After the game, x-ray showed a broken collar bone. That will keep Mcalla out of action for at least six weeks Broncs head coach Don Julian says Mcalla has been great this week, stepping in to help out now starting QB Austin Woodward. Three two-way starters are out this week. The rest of the team will have to really step up their play. The Broncs host Laramie tomorrow night.
