Larry White took over the head coaching duties for the Sheridan High School swimming and diving program this fall. The Lady Broncs took seven qualifiers at the state meet yesterday and the Broncs took to the water for their first official practice of the new season. They will only have four swimmers on this year’s team but they have been working hard this fall to get ready for the season. White says they may have only four in the pool but they are dedicated and that makes up for the lack of numbers. The Broncs open at the Casper Relays December 9th. The first home meet will be January 6th against Gillette.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles will pick up right where they left off last spring as the number one girls team in class 2-A. Now the hard work begins for this year’s team to find it’s own identity. Head coach Diane Moser says as the defending champs they’ll get every opponents best shot every night. The Lady Eagles open at home Friday night against Thermopolis. Varsity tip is at 7 o’clock. They host Lovell Saturday at 4 o’clock.

The Eagles start the new season off with a lot of enthusiasm. Head coach Larry Moser says they’re well ahead of the game with good team chemistry but they also have some concerns to address and Moser says they’ll know more after the opening weekend. The Eagles play at Thermopolis Friday night and Lovell Saturday evening.

The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams play at a tournament hosted by Riverside High School Friday and Saturday.

The Sheridan Broncs and Lady Broncs will play games in Cheyenne Friday and Saturday.

The Sheridan College Generals will be in Rocksprings tomorrow through Saturday for their Wyoming conference pre-season tournament. They’ll play LCCC, Western Wyoming and Eastern Wyoming.
The Lady Generals host their pre-season conference starting tomorrow night at the Hoffman Dome. Joining the Lady Generals will be Casper College, Western Wyoming and Northwest College. The four teams play round robin with two games tomorrow night at 6 and 8 pm also Friday night at six and eight and Saturday at 2 and 4 o’clock. The Lady Generals will play the second game of each double header.

Next week both teams have home games. The Lady Generals on Wednesday against the Air Force Academy and the Generals will host a two day tournament on the 9th and 10th.

The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers will be in Billings Friday and Saturday to open their season at the Billings Invitational Tournament.

Tonight the Wyoming Cowboys play on the road at Washington State. You can hear the game live on am 14-10 KWYO. Cowboy pre-game is at 7:30 with the tip at 8 o’clock

The Tongue River Lady Eagles swept through their entire schedule last season finishing unbeaten as the class 2-A state champions. Diane Moser returns for her 32nd year with the Lady Eagles and with eight returning players. The Lady Eagles will be a force again in the 2-A ranks. The team has kept it pretty low key over the last couple of weeks but Moser says the players are ready to add to last year’s success. The Lady Eagles open at home Friday and Saturday with games against Thermopolis and Lovell.

Larry Moser returns a good nucleus of players back to the Eagles varsity squad this season and he’s been pleased with the players effort in pre season practice. The Eagles have high expectations for the coming season and open at Thermopolis Friday night.

The Broncs and Lady Broncs will be in Cheyenne Friday and Saturday. The Lady Broncs will play Cheyenne Central, East and Larmie while the Broncs play both Cheyenne schools. The Lady Indians and Lady T-Birds played for the 4-A state title last spring with Central winning at the buzzer. With those two teams and a hand full of other really good programs Lady Bronc head coach Mark Elliott says the 4-A girls league will be tougher then it’s ever been this season.

The Broncs will open at Cheyenne Central Friday night. They come into the season with little varsity experience but head coach Mike Ibach says they are up beat as they begin the season. Ibach says it’ll be a learning process over the next month and a half. We will have Friday night’s game for you live on am 14-10 KWYO. Tip is scheduled for 8:45.

The Big Horn High School basketball teams open their season at a tournament hosted by Riverside High School in Basin Friday and Saturday.

The Sheridan College Lady Generals host their Wyoming conference pre-season tournament starting Thursday at the Hoffman Dome. They play at 8 o’clock Thursday and Friday night and Saturday afternoon at 4 o’clock they’ll play Northwest College, Western Wyoming and Casper College.

The Generals play at their pre-season tournament in Rocksprings starting Thursday. They’ll play Laramie County, Eastern Wyoming and Western Wyoming.

The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers open the new season at a two-day invitational tournament in Billings, which gets underway Friday.

The Sheridan Bronc swimmers and divers got their pre-season practice started yesterday. They open the season at the Casper Relays December 9th.

Pictures from the Lions Club Thanksgiving Basketball Tournament

The Generals and Lady Generals picked up two wins a piece during the 31st Annual Sheridan Lions Club Basketball Classic.  The Lady Generals improved their record to 8-3 by beating up Western Montana 92-52 Friday and Rocky Mtn. College 84-53 Saturday. This week the Lady Generals host their Wyoming conference pre-season tournament Thursday through Saturday. Games will be at 6 and 8 pm Thursday and Friday
and 2 and 4 o’clock Saturday. They’ll play Casper College, Western Wyoming and Northwest College.

The Generals beat a scrappy United Tribes team Friday 95-78 then came out Saturday and blasted Rocky Mountain College 88-52. The Generals ended it early starting with a 17-3 run and led by 28 at the half. Overall it was a much better performance from Friday night.
