1930's 1990's In the late 90's KWYO moved to the Sheridan Media building and was added to Sheridan Media's AudioVAULT automation system. Initially, the KWYO computer equipment was located in the main production room. This proved to be inconvenient because KWYO still required a fair amount of attention, and there was only one production room for the entire building, which now housed four stations instead of two. A few months later, it was given its own space in a converted Teletype closet, where it stayed until Sheridan Media expanded and remodeled the entire building in 2001. 2000's In the summer of 2001, Sheridan Media began a full-scale remodelling project. Once again, it was initially planned that the main production room would also serve as the KWYO studio. However, when the capabilities of the "talk" studio were expanded during the building of the studios, it made more sense to locate the KWYO automation system there. In 2005, the talk studio capabilities were increased further to include multitrack and AudioVAULT production software. This brought the room in line with the rest of the building, as now every on-air studio would have at least basic production capabilities. |
