Cora married Claud Bolinger on September 13, 1925. During the first 11 years of their marriage, Claud and Cora remained in Huntsville and had three children, Maxine, Clifton and Christine. Cora ran a small country store while Claud continued working on his parents farm and traveled to Kansas to work in the wheat fields. In the spring of 1936, because of the Great Depression and a severe drought, Claud and Cora loaded up their children, their belongings and headed to Wyoming for a better life. Arriving at Ucross, Wyoming where they had a relative, they built a general store at Ucross, which they ran for a year and then sold. Claud went to work for Carl Waegel on his ranch at Ucross and Cora was hired to cook for all the hired men. Cora and Claud worked for the Waegel ranch for 3 years until they were offered to sub-lease some farmland outside of Buffalo by Dick Green known as the Silva Ranch. During their stay on the Silva Ranch from 1938 until 1944, Claud and Cora were able to save enough money to purchase a small farm at Ucross but shortly afterwards heard that the Waegl ranch was up for sale. So they sold the Farm, got a loan and bought Carl Waegel’s ranch at Ucross. In the spring of 1944, Claud, Cora and their three children moved to their now home calling it the Bolinger’s Ucross Ranch. That winter they had their fourth child, Truman. Claud and Cora took great pride in their ranch and Cora could be seen each day working side by side with Claud on the ranch. Each year she put in two huge gardens and loved to have her grandchildren come for a visit. During the 25 years at the Ucross ranch, Cora and Claud added several other places to their property making it one of the nicest ranches in the valley. Cora and Claud continued to farm and ranch their place for 25 years before retiring and selling the ranch in 1969 to Raymond Plank, President of Apache Oil Company. Cora and Claud moved to Buffalo where Claud worked at the Buffalo Golf Course helping make it one of the most beautiful golf courses in Wyoming and Cora continued putting in her yearly garden where she canned everything she could each fall. During the long winter months, Cora loved to crochet beautiful afghans for her children and grandchildren. Claud died December 19, 1978 and Cora continued living in their home alone until 1993 when her son Truman and his wife Barbara moved in with her to help with her care. Cora became a resident of Amie Holt Care Center in January 2003 and remained their until her death.
