BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Broncs went 2-1 at the Flaming Gorge classic in Green River they beat Jackson, lost against Rock Springs and came back with a 71-33 win over Salmon, Idaho Saturday to run their overall record to
Head coach Mike Ibach says it was a long trip but a pretty good trip as well.
The Lady Broncs remain unbeaten at 7-0 as they blew out all three opponents at the classic. The Lady Broncs were relentless on all three teams they beat Jackson 89-28, Rock Springs 74-38 and Steamboat, Colorado fell Saturday 74-36.
The Lady Broncs will enter the break as the state's number one girls basketball team. Only one other
4-A team in unbeaten heading into the break that's Cheyenne Central.
The Broncs and Lady Broncs will get back into action at a three game tournament in Riverton starting Thursday, January 6th.
FOOTHILLS CLASSIC BASKETBALL - The Foothills classic tournament was a big success for the Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams. The Lady Rams are 10-0 after wins over Big Piney, Wind River and Wyoming Indian.
The Rams are 9-0 sweeping Big Piney, Wind River and Wyoming Indian as well Head coach Ryan Alley says the Rams are playing well and showing great poise and confidence.
Both the Tongue River teams have 5-2 records after they both had victories over Big Piney and Wind River in the Foothills Classic.
They both dropped close games with Wyoming Indian the Lady Eagles lost 63-57 and the Eagles lost 54-58 to the Chiefs.
BISON / LADY BISON BASKETBALL - The Buffalo Bison and Lady Bison swept four games over the weekend both teams beat Cheyenne South Friday and came back with victories over Powell Saturday.
BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers went 4-2 in duals at the Worland dual tournament Head coach Terry Burgess says the bronc wrestled well and a far ahead this December compared to a year ago.
Trevor Goss and Lucas Giesey both posted unbeaten records each going 6-0 in the event.
Goss placed third at the state tournament last spring and is off to a great start finishing up December with an 18-1record.
The Broncs are off until January 7th when they compete at the Shane Shatto invitational tournament in Douglas.
WYOMING BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys got their record to .500 Friday beating Western State, Colorado 80-37. The Pokes are now 6-6 overall and get back into action tonight.
