STATE VOLLEYBALL - The Big Horn Lady Rams finished 3rd at the state volleyball tournament. They beat Sundance in five games to win the consolation bracket. that ended their three year reign as 2-A state champs.
The Sheridan Lady Broncs won their first match but lost in the semi-finals and were eliminated from the tournament one game away from the consolation final by Evanston in four games.
The Arvada/Clearmont Lady Panthers lost two straight and were eliminated from the tournament Friday.
STATE SWIMMING - The Lady Bronc swimmers finished 6th at the state meet in Gillette. Here are the top finishers Jessica Browning was 4th in the 500 free and 5th in the 200 free.
Caitlin Douherty was 6th in the 200 IM and 7th in the 100 breast stroke, sister Gretchen Dougherty was 8th in the 100 butterfly and 8th in the 100 breast stroke.
Payton Brilz finished 5th in the 100 back stroke and Emily Speigelberg was 6th in the 100 back stroke.
RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams pounded Big Piney 62-6 to advance to this week's semi finals they'll host Greybull Friday afternoon at 1:00.
The Rams fumbled the ball away on their first two possessions but got it going and never let the Punchers in the game. Head coach Bert Dow says the defense set the tone in the games first few minutes. And Dow says the Rams had it dialed in pretty good after the slow start.
Senior Quarterback Colby Wollenmen says the two defensive stops in the first four minutes of the game gave the offense time to re-focus and that's all it took. And Wollenmen says once they got rolling Big Piney couldn't stop them.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs survived and advanced with a 10-3 win over Casper Kelly Walsh. The Trojans played keep away from the turnover prone Broncs and were looking for the upset but the Broncs found a way to get it done scoring ten points in the final 2:42 of the game to pull off the victory and advance to the semi finals Head coach Don Julian.
The defense came up big with Dawson Osborn making a tackle for a Saftey to get the Broncs in position to win.
The Broncs host Cheyenne East Friday night at 6:00 broadcast time to is at 5:30 with the Don Julian show presented by First Federal savings bank on AM 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM.
The other 4-A semi final has Gillette at Natrona county that game will be played Saturday afternoon at 1:00.

WYOMING FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys lost 48-38 against San Diego state Saturday. This week the Pokes play a road game at New Mexico.
BRONCOS FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos lost 24-16 against San Francisco in London yesterday. The Broncos have their bye week this week and will resume their schedule with a home game against Kansas City on the 14th.
