TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers open their district tournament in Cody Thursday afternoon they play Powell in that game at 1:00. They play the winner of the Casper / Jackson game.
JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets open their state tournament in Casper Thursday. They open with Laramie at 10:00 am. and will play either the Casper Grizzlies or Cheyenne in the second round.
SHERIDAN LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL - The Wyoming state little league tournament is going on in Riverton. The Sheridan team beat Kemmerer in their opening round game yesterday 29-0. They play Rawlins today 16 teams are competing in the double elimination tournament.
SHERIDAN BABE RUTH BASEBALL - Sheridan state Babe Ruth tournament is being played in Powell and opens tomorrow with pool play. Sheridan will open with Laramie at 10:00 am.
LOCAL GOLF - The Powder Horn hosts the three day summer hummer golf tournament this week the first of three rounds opens Thursday. Nearly 200 players are expected to compete.
The Sheridan high school booster club will host a fund raising golf tournament Friday, July 30th at the Powder Horn. It's a four person team scramble and will shot gun start at 9:00 AM. This is the main fund raiser for the booster club.
It used to be the “Best out West” basketball tournament in the spring but SHS activities director Don Julian says the tournament ran it's course.
He says they have lots of fun stuff for the golfers next Friday including a little assistance from the Bronc golf team.
Julian says it's an important event because the booster club is a big part of activities at Sheridan high school.

BIG HORN POLO CLUB - Here are the Big Horn Polo club results from Sunday's matches at the Big Horn Equestrian center. D BAR D ranch took the Eaton's cup 9-6 over the Canyon ranch. The Wyo Rodeo cup winning team was the Pony Bar and Grill over Century 21 by the score of 12-5.
NHSFR - The National high school finals rodeo continues in Gillette. Buffalo's Megan Belus sits in 12th place in the breakaway roping and 23rd overall in the Pole Bending. Nikki Baumann of Sheridan sits in 52nd place after one go in the Goat tying and Sheridan's Casey Collins is 40th after on go in the Steer Wrestling.
