4-A EAST REGIONAL BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Broncs basketball season ended suddenly in Gillette Thursday night with the Broncs losing to Cheyenne South in an elimination game 70-57 was the final.
The Broncs end their season with a 9-14 record.
The Lady Broncs will play in the regional tournament semi final tonight at 7:00 against Laramie we will have the game live for you on 14-10 KWYO.
STATE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS - The Big Horn Lady Rams and Arvada/Clearmont Lady Panthers fell in to the losers bracket at the state tournament while the Big Horn Rams and Tongue River Lady Eagles advanced to semi finals.
The A/C girls lost 35-24 to Little Snake River and will play a loser out game with Ten Sleep Friday.
Thermopolis hit a bucket with 1.6 to play to beat the Lady Rams 37-35 relegating them into the losers bracket and an elimination game against Sundance at the Casper Events Center
The Tongue River Lady Eagles broke a tie late in the third quarter with a decisive 10-0 run and went onto to beat Rocky Mountain 49-33
The win puts them in tonight's semi finals against Southeast that game is scheduled to tip off at 6:00 you can hear all the action live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.
The Big Horn Rams outlasted a scrappy Big Piney team 54-45 to earn a trip to the semi finals tonight. Matt Wigglesworth had a game high 26 points to lead the Rams.
They will face Lusk in the semi finals tonight at 7:30 that game will follow the Tongue River girls game on 87.7 FM.
GENERALS BASKETBALL - Saturday the Sheridan college Generals open their region nine tournament in Casper against Northeastern Colorado game time is at 1:00 pm.
LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Lady Generals are at their tournament in Scottsbluff, Nebraska they open Sunday afternoon at 1:00 against Dawson county community college.
COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys play at New Mexico tomorrow afternoon broadcast time is at 2:30 on 14-10 KWYO.
INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD - The State indoor track and field championships start this afternoon at 1:00 in gillette.
SPRING SPORTS - The spring sports season opens Monday after school as track teams get outside and the Sheridan high school soccer teams open Monday as well.
