BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams swept four victories on the opening weekend of the basketball season. they both had no problem with Green River Friday but Saturday's games were much better.
The Lady Broncs got by Billings Senior 43-40 at home the Broncs took out Billings Senior with a late surge to win 63-55.
Head coach Mike Ibach says it was exactly what they needed to see a tough physical opponent.
And he says in a tight, tough game like that their depth really showed how important that factor will be this season.
The Broncs now have five days to get ready for another home game when they play Riverton on Saturday afternoon.
Saturday is another Bronc and Lady Bronc double header when they host Riverton varsity games will be played at 2:00 and 3:00 and will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO.
EAGLES / LADY EAGLES HOOPS - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles were in Thermopolis. The Lady Eagles went 3-0 with wins over Thermop and Mountain View Saturday the Eagles went 2-1 beating Thermop Saturday and losing to Mountain View 52-51 both team won on Friday against St.Stephens
RAMS / LADY RAMS HOOPS - The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams were in Lusk. The Rams picked up their first win of the season beating Lusk Saturday 65-55 after they lost two on Friday. The Lady Rams split game Friday and then beat Lusk Saturday 42-37.
SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals stayed unbeaten over the weekend and stand at 11-0 on the season. The Lady Generals split two games in Idaho over the weekend.
Both teams will open conference play Wednesday night at home against Little Big Horn community college. We will broadcast both games live for you on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM. Yhe women tip at 5:30 the men follow at 7:30.
BRONC WRESTLING - In wrestling action the Broncs finished 5th at the Powell invitational and had two champions Clay Carter won at 132 pounds and was named outstanding varsity wrestler. Scott Hanify won at 145 pounds
This week the Bronc JV's will compete at a tournament in Forsyth, Montana while the varsity will compete at an invitational in Rapid City.
WYOMING HOOPS - he Wyoming basketball Cowboys are 8-1 on the season they won at Bradley 66-49 Saturday night. The Pokes play at Colorado Friday night.
WYOMING FOOTBALL - The Wyoming football Cowboys have been rewarded for their 8-4 season with a trip to the New Mexico Bowl. The Pokes will face Temple University December 17th.
