The Buffalo Bison sports teams were in action this weekend, with the basketball teams posting some convincing wins and the wrestling team competing in Montana and coming home with one individual champion from the tournament.
The Bison boys' basketball team traveled to Rawlins on Friday, defeating the #4 Outlaws 60-45, in a hard-fought close game that Buffalo pulled out in the fourth quarter.
The Bison hosted Cheyenne South on Saturday, and ran away with a 74-24 victory.
Aaron Tyser led scoring with 18 points, and Hayden Kessler added 11.
The girls hosted Rawlins Friday, winning 47-34, and defeated Cheyenne South Saturday on the road 59-19.
The boys are now 10-1 overall, 6-0 in conference play, while the girls are 10-2 overall, 5-1 in conference.
The Bison wrestlers headed to Miles City, Montana for the Cowboy Invitational meet, along with a number of other Wyoming schools.
Buffalo as a team finished tied for 18th out of 31 teams participating.
Individually, Buffalo's Jace Jensen was the 171-pound champion in the tournament.
Next up for the teams this weekend, the basketball teams will play Glenrock and Lander, and the wrestlers will host their tournament Friday and Saturday at BHS.
