The Bison sports teams faired well in competition this weekend.
The No. 1-ranked Bison boys' basketball team won both of their contests, defeating third-ranked Wheatland 69-58 on the road Friday night.
Aaron Tyser had 29 points for the Bison, and Casey Esponda added 20.
Saturday the Bison hosted Thermopolis, beating the Bobcats 79-49.
Buffalo is now 8-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play.
The Lady Bison split their games, dropping a heartbreaker Friday at home 47-44 to the Lady Bulldogs from Wheatland.
Saturday the girls traveled to Thermopolis and downed the Lady Bobcats 36-31 in a game they trailed most of the way, but the Bison defense held in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
Leah Groteluschen had 12 points to lead Buffalo, Caitlyn Armstrong had nine and Casi Litzel added six.
The Lady Bison are now 8-2 overall and 3-1 in conference.
The Bison swim team took first place at the Douglas Invitational Meet on Saturday, by a margin of 101 points over second-place Cheyenne South.
Buffalo's Wilbur Holt won two of his individual events and helped on a number of relay teams to lead the Bison.
Buffalo lost only two events at the meet.
The Bison wrestlers finished eighth of 16 teams at the Shane Shatto Memorial Tournament in Douglas this weekend.
The Kaycee Buckaroos boys' basketball team beat Sundance 48-45 on Friday and on Saturday defeated Hulett 72-30. They now stand at 6-3 overall, 2-0 in conference.
The Lady Buckaroos downed Sundance 43-36 and Hulett 70-31. Their record is 7-0 overall and 2-0 in conference.
