The Buffalo Bison football team was in Rawlins Friday night to take on the Outlaws. The game was over by the end of the first quarter. Literally.
Due to a lighting problem at the field, the game was called late in the first quarter with the Bison up 21-0.
After a number of attempts failed to get the lighting fixed, officials called the game.
Collin Rodriguez ran for two scores and threw for the third to Kaleb Rodriguez before the game ended.
There were questions where the Bison would be seeded in the playoffs, but after Riverton lost, the Bison will have the #3 seed in the 3A East, and will travel to #2W Star Valley for a 6pm game at Afton.
The Kaycee Buckaroos lost to Midwest Saturday 77-50, but will have the #2 seed in the North, and will host Hanna-Elk Mountain Friday.
In volleyball, the Kaycee Lady Bucs won the 1A East Tournament over the weekend and will take their #1 seed against Hanna-Elk Mountain Thursday at 3pm at the Casper Events Center.
The Lady Bison hosted the 3A East Tournament and lost both of their games 3-0 to Douglas and 3-1 to Rawlins. Their season is done.
Cross country teams were at State this weekend. Buffalo's boys' team finished seventh, with the top finisher Isaac Keifer taking 22nd. The girls' team took 11th and the top finisher for the girls was Mikki Horton who finished 16th.
And the Lady Bison swim team was at the Conference meet in Newcastle, and we'll have results when available.
