BIG HORN HS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams went to the State Championship game last fall; they look to return to that form this year. First, they have good numbers as they suited up over 40 players Monday. Head coach Bert Dow. Dow says the players did a good job of building the foundation of their season during their off-season training.
The Rams graduated some great players from last year's runner-up team, but Dow says they have found several guys to fill in those spots. The Rams return starting quarterback Colby Wollenman; Dow says Wollenman has returned for his junior seasonbigger and stronger.
The Rams will join Tongue River and Glenrock next Saturday the 29th in a zero-week scrimmage at Sheridan High School. They open the season Thursday, September 3rd against Greybull -- that game will be played at 1 o'clock at Homer Scott Stadium.
HS FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs open the football season a week from today at home against Casper Kelly Walsh. The Tongue River Eagles open Friday, September 4th at home with Hulett, and the NSI Wolves open on September 4th at home with Rocky Mountain.
NFL - The Denver Broncos play at Seattle tomorrow night; we will have it live on AM 1410 KWYO. The Bronco pregame show will start at 7:30.
NCCA FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys will open their season Saturday, September 5th at home against Weber State. They follow that game up hosting Texas on the 12th before their first road game to CU September 19th.
MLB - The Colorado Rockies beat Washington 4-1 last night, sweeping the 3-game series. They stay 3 1/2 games behind the Dodgers in the National League West. They return to Coors Field tonight to open a 4-games series with San Francisco.
TRACK AND FIELD - Sprinter Usain Bolt of Jamaica did it again last night in Berlin, a week after shattering his own world record in the 100 Meters. Last night, Bolt shattered his record in the 200 Meters by 11-100ths of a second with a new record time of 19.19 seconds.
