Flowers remain by the grave markers on the far left while the National Flag on the pole to the left of Aaron Davis has been raised to full staff. Notes of "Amazing Grace" still flow from Aaron's bagpipes near the exit of Sheridan's Municipal Cemetery at the 12 o'clock hour. Most of the participants and viewers of the Post Everlasting Ceremony have left the cemetery as a contingent of "Kearny's Frontier Regulars" towing the 12-pound Mountain Howitzer used in the ceremony, makes its way past Aaron as it exits the cemetery. The official Memorial Day schedule of events in Sheridan has concluded. Now it is up to each individual to "Remember the Fallen" in their own special way. Aaron, the bagpiper who played three musical selections as vehicles exited the cemetery, moved to Ranchester from Idaho about a year ago and wanted to participate even though he was not officially part of the Post Everlasting Ceremony. Thank you Aaron for your participation.
