According to the Sheridan Police Department, a vehicle hit a 27-year-old male riding a bike in the eastbound lane near the 600 block of West 5th Street Monday morning around 7:50.
While the individual suffered abrasions to his palms, knees and shins and was transported by ambulance to Sheridan Memorial Hospital, police said he left the emergency room after a short time with no apparent problems. The bike he was riding sustained heavy damage.
The driver of the vehicle was cited for failing to yield.
