If you've seen a Tongue River Basketball game then perhaps you've seen the "Little Eagles Cheerleaders." In the back row starting from the left are: Mary from Highland Park Elementary (Sheridan), Lillian from Homeschool and Athena, Jaden & McKayla from Tongue River Elementary. In the front are Addison and Aurora also from Tongue River Elementary. Coach Kristina Thompson has been assisted by Stephanie Vela who has supported and helped get the program going. This is the 3rd year of the program and this year's squad of 8-girls (Shylea from TRE was not present the night these photos were taken) enjoy cheerleading and the crowd of TR valley supporters and visitors really enjoy them. The program's funding comes from donations to the Tongue River Valley Community Center and Kristina said, "I would like to say thank you to TRVCC, the TR valley supporters for coming and watching us, and to Stephanie Vela." Last Saturday evening the squad wrapped up their season of cheering but Kristina is hoping to do football cheerleading in the fall so stay tuned.
