When the City of Sheridan received the final draft of the Zucker Report in June 2008, the Council created a committee to implement the recommendations contained in the report within an 18-month timeframe. The Zucker Implementation Review Committee has been working since that time to streamline the development process in the City. Public Works Director Nic Bateson says the group is a little behind schedule.
The report identified 96 recommendations to increase efficiency for both the City and the development community.
ZIRC is made up of City staff, developers, contractors and engineers working together to turn the recommendations into policy for the City’s Building, Planning, and Public Works Departments.
