ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming is looking to adopt an anti-meth program that has proven successful in Montana.
The Montana Meth Project has a Paint the State contest whereby artwork created by high school students depicts graphic images of the societal and family problems created by meth use. The pictures have appeared on billboards, barns, walls of commercial buildings and other public places in Montana. The Wyoming Meth Project is hoping to get a similar contest going in Wyoming if funding can be secured. The effort is under way to find private donors and sponsors.
If the Paint the State project goes forward in Wyoming, cash prizes would be awarded on a county-by-county basis, with overall statewide awards given for first-, second- and third-place.
