Sheridan WYO Rodeo collides with the I-90 landslide closure this week, but WYDOT is working to make sure that traffic moves as smoothly as possible for all. Public Involvement Specialist for WYDOT, Ronda Holwell, says that they hope to end the Mead Creek re-route and have east-bound I-90 open by the beginning of next week and possibly the end of this week.
For now, she gives advice to all of the rodeo traffic.
The slide, since the closure Saturday, has increased in some areas from 10 feet to 20-25 feet, Holwell said.
She added that westbound traffic was re-routed to US Highways 14 and 16 because of the congestion semis would have caused at the Brundage, Coffeen intersection.
