This weekend, Northeast Wyoming will have the opportunity to hear traditional music of the Mongolian people, played on a traditional instrument, and get the opportunity to learn more about Mongolian culture.
The shows are being provided by Buffalo's Worlds of Music, with performances Friday in Buffalo and Saturday in Sheridan.
David Romtvedt, of Worlds of Music, explains how to pronounce the musician's name and what type of music and instruments will be featured.
Romtvedt said musicians from other parts of the world, including Mongolia study music somewhat differently than their counterparts here in Western Society.
Mijiddorj will be accompanied by Lisa Rickard, pianist from the University of Wyoming.
The pair will give a performance at the Buffalo Senior Center today from 12:45 to 2 pm at area schools. They will wrap up their performances Saturday at the WYO Theater in Sheridan at 7:30 pm.
