Empower Wyoming will be presenting a self-defense course for women this week in Buffalo, with the help of some highly-trained and experienced instructors from Los Angeles.
Francene Russell, of Empower Wyoming tells us more about the classes and the program.
The classes are specifically geared toward women and the situations they may find themselves in, Russell said, and how to protect themselves and/or get out of them.
The class serves two purposes, she said, one is to train her staff here in Buffalo in the Impact class and what they eventually want to offer here. The class is required for the the local chapter and instructors to become certified in Impact Training. The other purpose is to offer the class to a number of women locally at the same time.
Although the class is full, ther will be opportunities to take the classes in the future, Russell said, and those wanting to know more about the program can do so at this Wednesday's Chamber Luncheon.
Empower will demonstrate the training and give those in attendance a chance to try it. Contact the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce for more information on the luncheon.
