The Buffalo City Council, at Tuesday's meeting, decided to fund a portion of the moving expenses for the new city/county engineer, and will eventually ask the county to help with those expenses as well.
Who is the new engineer? His name is Wayne Hill, who currently lives in Virginia but previously worked in Sheridan and is happy to be returning to the area, according to Buffalo City Planner Zach Montgomery.
Montgomery tells us more about Mr. Hill and his duties as an engineer.
Montgomery said the engineer's duties will include reviewing subdivision agreements, reviewing city, county and Town of Kaycee projects in both the planning and construction phases. Montgomery said the engineer will keep the entities out of lawsuits and give them another set of eyes on the projects.
Wayne Hill is expected to assume his duties as city/county engineer no later than April 4th.
