Penny Becker, executive director of Sheridan Travel and Tourism, says that if you think there's nothing to do this weekend, you're not paying attention. Starting off with the Big West Arts Festival and Crazy Days downtown, she'll be escorting some high-profile guests.
The Big West Arts Festival is Saturday and Sunday, and this year, it's going to be in the heart of the Sheridan College Campus instead of the front lawn. Festival director, Rod Dugal said his event will get people out of the house all day and all night.
On Saturday only at the Big West Arts Festival is the welding rodeo, where some of the region's best welders have a single day to craft a masterpiece while competing against other teams. Carl Schiner (shiner), a welding instructor at Sheridan College, said the competitors can't really prepare for this event.
If you can't wait until Saturday to start your weekend, stop by the Sheridan County Museum tonight from six until nine for the Brewing Up History event. Nathan Door extended the invite to the community.
