Sheridan County's Commissioners approved two new Conditional Use Permits this morning. The first was awarded to Taylor Investments, LLC, to construct a cell phone tower to be operated and maintained by Verizon. County planner, Mark Reid, said the tower could add quality of life to the outskirts of town. The new tower will be located along I-90 North of Sheridan, approximately four and a half miles west of Ranchester. The other CUP unanimously approved by the commissioners allows for Rantec Corporation to expand its polymer blending operations on approximately six more acres of land near their existing facility. Reid said the permit would allow the company to be more productive. The land near the Rototec expansion is designated as residential, but the permit will allow increased industrial use in the area.
