CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Department of Transportation
says it has made temporary repair to three electronic signs along Interstate 80 in Carbon County damaged this week by apparent rifle fire.
The signs were damaged on Wednesday and were back in service by about 2 p.m. Friday. Permanent repairs will be performed over coming weeks. The roadside traffic signs are part of the department's variable speed limit system. The system allows the department to lower and raise speed limits by remote control depending on weather conditions.
