The University of Wyoming, like other educational entities across the state, is looking forward to funding for capital construction projects in the upcoming budget session of the legislature.
That process takes another step beginning this week as the Joint Appropriations Committee starts its markup of the governor's budget. UW President Tom Buchanan.
The governor's budget includes $50 million in general funds for the University of Wyoming Capital Construction Project Fund. The funds would further research and discussion for three projects: the Performing Arts Building, Half Acre Gymnasium and an addition to the Engineering Building.
Governor Matt Mead's Budget will be reviewed by the JAC and, after any amendments are made, sent to the legislature when it is approved.
