Jason Vela, the Chief of Police at Sheridan College, was recently appointed to an advisory position for the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. The Commission is a “bipartisan fact-finding agency of the federal government,” and each state has an advisory committee. What they actually do, Jason says:
