Anglers in northeast Wyoming will have a good opportunity to catch some large lake and brook trout this winter as Story Fish Hatchery personnel are in the process of stocking nearly 100 lake trout in Gillette Fishing lake and another 100 into Black Hills Power and Light Pond near Osage.
The Story Hatchery also stocked 500 brook trout, two hundred into Black Hills Power and Light Pond and 300 into Panther Pond near Wright. Sheridan Area Fisheries Supervisor for the Game and Fish Paul Mavrakis.
The size of the trout will provide some good fishing for anglers this winter a href="/audiosays Mavrakis.
Mavrakis reminds anglers that they need to remember that the daily limit is six fish and only one can be more than 20 inches. He added that since many of these trout are larger than that, people may want to bring along a tape measure.
