UPDATE 1:50 PM -The Sheridan Police Department issued a media release Friday morning indicating that there had been a stabbing at the Dunnuck Apartment Complex in Sheridan Thursday night. According to the release, when officers arrived at the scene, two witnesses to the incident had a male subject, 43-year-old Brian Lester pinned to the ground and detained. The victim in the stabbing was an adult female, 47-year-old Lisa Giambracco. Both individuals were tenants of the apartment complex.
The Police Department reports that the stabbing occurred after a disagreement and argument over how several of the plants outside the complex had been planted by one of the tenants. Lester became more upset during the disagreement and retrieved a knife and attacked Giambracco, stabbing her several times with the knife.
Both individuals were transported by ambulance to Sheridan Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the altercation. Both Lester and Giambracco are being held and treated for injuries at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.
