The Sheridan Police Department issued a fraudulent check alert to the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce this week to inform local businesses to be aware of two individuals that may attempt to pass fraudulent checks.
On Tuesday, two female subjects attempted to cash a fraudulent check at a local bank in Sheridan. According to a media release from the SPD, one subject used a Missouri ID card and a credit card for ID. The name on the check and on the ID was Kendra Ann Richard. The woman and her companion were described as black females. They left the bank immediately after the transaction was questioned.
