The fall sports season in Sheridan County School District 2 is coming to an end and winter sports are beginning. The Sheridan High School football team excelled on the field, losing only one game all season, and Activities Director Don Julian says they are starting to get the grade reports for the students.
Athletes commonly do well academically both at the high school and college levels. Is there a reason why?
Student athletes at Sheridan High School must be passing at least 5 of their classes to remain eligible to participate in any sports. That is the minimum requirement and individual coaches may require higher performance to play a particular sports.
Student athlete grades are monitored weekly by coaches in each sport.
