The Sheridan Quality Child Care Initiative is planning for a September 9th opening date. There are commitments from 40 kids to participate in the program. Hand-in-Hand Early Childhood Education Center Executive Director Susan Brayton says they hope to have 51 children signed up by September.
They expect to have full enrollment by January.
The Center has hired five instructors and will be looking for six more in the future. Administration will start hiring classroom aides in the next couple of weeks.
Educational Director Lissanna Follari expects the program to be fully licensed by the September opening. What about interest from Sheridan College students who will participate in the training program?
There will be an open house to provide information to parents on Monday, August 17th at 5:30.
