CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Eagle Bronze Foundry of Lander and Cody painter Michael C. Poulsen are among the winners of the Governor's Arts Awards for 2011. The other winners selected by Gov. Matt Mead are Seymour Thickman, an arts patron in Sheridan, and a non-profit arts organization in Lander called Promoting Arts in Lander Schools.
They will be honored at a dinner and ceremony on Feb. 24. The Wyoming Arts Council accepts nominations for the awards each October. They are reviewed by the Wyoming Arts Council Board which makes recommendations to the governor about who should be honored.
