The Wyoming Department of Health has partnered with nine communities in the state to conduct Worksite Wellness Workshops, and Thursday, December 3rd will be the day a workshop will be held in Sheridan.
Teddy Araas is the Wellness Coordinator at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.
Araas gives an example of how a Wellness program would work.
Besides the obvious improvements in health for an employee, Araas describes the positive aspect that comes to an employer by establishing a Worksite Wellness program.
Space is limited for the event, which runs from 10 am to 1 pm on December 3rd in the conference room off of the hospital cafeteria. Teddy says that other than a $20-per-person fee for lunch, everything else is funded by the State, and employers will take home a Worksite Wellness tool kit and a CD-Rom.
