The hardworking students in the Sheridan High School chapter of Key Club invite the public to a chili cook-off tomorrow evening. Chelsea Kethman (keeth-mun) is a Jr. at SHS, and while she is a member of the Sheridan Chapter, she serves as Lieutenant Governor for Division 1 in the Rocky Mountain District. The money raised tomorrow will go to Children of Peace International to help build schools in Vietnam. Kethman tells us why they chose this charity.
This is Chelsea's third year in Key Club. She says she loves being a part of this service organization because she loves volunteering in the community.
So, who will be pitted against each other over the beef and beans in the chili pots?
Cost per bowl of chili is $2. Homemade cinnamon rolls from the Culinary Arts bakers at Sheridan College will be $1 apiece. Kethman encourages folks to come early to eat their fill before heading into the gym for the Sheridan Broncs Courtwarming rivalry with the Gillette Camels. Chili will be served between 5 and 7 pm in the SHS cafeteria.
