This year's Sheridan County Fair drew a bigger crowd than it has in years past. Though the numbers have not been meticulously analyzed, Melissa Sterling, director of the Fair Board, was impressed with this year's turnout.
Sterling said she's hoping to organize more crowd-pleasing events for next year.
Sterling said the fair board is still pushing for an indoor arena and new office, but budget cuts have temporarily curtailed any major modernization ambitions. This weekend at the Fairgrounds is the Sheridan County Rodeo.
