Sheridan County received three bids for the 2012 County Road Improvement Project. All three of those bids came in over the engineer's estimate of $1.1 million with the lowest bid still being 20 percent over the estimate.
County Commissioners approved the base bid from Intermountain Construction and Materials in the amount of $1.3 million with the stipulation that County Engineer Ken Muller would alter the original scope of the project. Muller explains what was done to bring the cost down.
The roads that will remain part of the project are; Paradise Park Road, Brinton Road, Beaver Creek Road and Woodland Park Road. Muller said the project will be mainly funded with County Road funds and supplemented with Capital Facilities Tax Funds.
