The Northern Wyoming Community College District Board of Trustees discussed an ambitious strategic plan for Sheridan College over the next 5 to 10 years during a work session on Friday. The plan calls for continued increases in student enrollments and facilities upgrades to match the needs of a larger student population. Sheridan College Interim President Jon Connolly says the College will need to avoid uncontrolled growth as recently seen with a 20 percent jump in enrollments this year.
How does the college plan for unexpected growth that is common with open enrollment policies?
The Sheridan College Foundation will play a key part in any capital campaigns required for facilities upgrades. Some of the planned improvements include providing on-campus housing for up to 700 students, as well as expansion of the Thorne-Rider Commons and Griffith Memorial Buildings.
