The Sheridan City Council approved the North Main Economic Development Strategy and Action Plan at their meeting Monday night. North Main Association Board President Shelleen Smith addressed the Council, stating that they'd like to embark on a study on the north Main corridor. Smith said that they are willing to put up $15,000 toward the study and requested $50,000 from the City in optional one-cent funds earmarked for economic development. The Council unanimously approved the request by the North Main Association.
Smith explains what phase one of the study will consist of.
The consulting firm that NMA will hire to perform the study is the Leland Group out of Portland, Oregon. Smith said that they hope to have phase one of the initiative complete by this August.
