The Sheridan City Council took a big step in preserving the night sky at their meeting Monday night. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.
Sheridan officially now has a night sky ordinance as Council voted it in on 3rd and final reading. Sheridan Senior Project Manager Lane Thompson said that night sky compliant lighting will have to be installed only when light fixtures need to be replaced.
Not everyone was in agreement with the night sky ordinance, as Councilmen Steve Brantz and Robert Webster both voted against it.
