The rate increase that Montana Dakota Utilities is proposing has many throughout Northern Wyoming concerned. State Senator John Schiffer says that MDU may be justified in raising the rates.
Schiffer explains that there's only so much that legislators can do.
If the increase is approved by the Wyoming Public Service Commission, customers in northern Wyoming could see an increase in rates of between 26% and 41%.
A public meeting with the PSC concerning the rate increase request has been scheduled for February 10th at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library.
