United States Senator John Barrasso was in Sheridan on Friday and presented a Washington update to the Sheridan Rotary Club. One of the largest concerns for those of us in Wyoming is the current healthcare reform bill. Barrasso spoke to those that would criticize his votes against the current bill as following party line politics.
Barrasso recently returned from a trip to the Middle East and criticized the Obama Administration for their announcement of a timeline for withdrawal from Afghanistan, that was surely heeded by our enemies. He also seemed optimistic about progress in Iraq.
Barrasso spent the holidays with troops in the Middle East and was amazed at the resources available to troops in the field. He promised to work to make sure that local packages and support for Wyoming soldiers reached them while they are deployed.
