After holding an executive session Tuesday morning, the Sheridan Economic and Education Development Authority has come to the conclusion that a meeting with representatives from the Sheridan Quality Child Care Initiative needs to take place. SQCCI was the board that was in charge of running the Hand in Hand Childcare Center in Sheridan prior to its closure this June. SEEDA Chairman Dr. Paul Young said that he along with possibly a SEEDA Board member or two will meet with a representative of SQCCI and their accountant to have a discussion about their financials.
Young explains that the meeting will not be open to the public.
Young stated that the findings from the meeting with the SQCCI representatives will be discussed at the SEEDA Board's next regularly scheduled meeting August 9th.
The deadline for the RFP for a future tenant of the Hand in Hand Building is August 12th. Following the regular SEEDA Board meeting Tuesday, the board met with three separate groups that have expressed interest in the facility. Young said that it's still too early to tell if there'll be a recommendation on the RFP at a special meeting August 23rd.
