The University of Wyoming hired the consulting firm of Greenwood/Asher and Associates to assist in the search for a new president of the university. Monday night, Betty Asher with the consulting firm was in Sheridan to receive input during a public listening session. UW Board Member Dick Davis explains what the statewide listening sessions are all about.
State Representative John Patton was at the meeting to offer his perspective on what's needed in a new president.
After the public meetings wrap-up Wednesday, the search firm compile a list of candidates that will be narrowed down to 12 by a screening committee. A second screening committee will trim that list down to five finalists by the end of the month. The UW Board of Trustees after interviewing the finalists will most likely announce the new president by the end of February.
