Sheridan County School District No. 2 received construction updates on the Meadowlark school project and other district improvement projects from Superintendent Craig Dougherty at their monthly meeting Monday.
Dougherty explains that construction of the Meadowlark building is on schedule following the summer months.
All load-bearing concrete masonry units are in place, and under-slab plumbing and electrical rough-ins are 95 percent finished, according to School District 2. Steel erection over the gym, kitchen, and south half of the building is done, and north end work has started. Work on the south parking lot is underway.
The new Meadowlark school is scheduled to be complete for use to begin the 2012-2013 school year.
