And then there were nine… The Sheridan County School District 2 Board of Trustees once again has nine members. The Board interviewed five people for the two seats left vacant by Stephanie Cole and Lisa Lundbeck. Both Cole and Lundbeck resigned earlier in August for personal reasons.
Ann Perkins and Aaron Linden were selected by the board to fill the unexpired vacant seats. Both trustees came here from the Midwest. Perkins came to Sheridan two years ago from Fargo, North Dakota. Linden has been in Sheridan for six years and lived in Minnesota before that. Both new trustees also have children who attend classes in Distict 2 elementary schools.
Linden and Perkins are both excited about the opportunity to work with the board, setting educational policies for the district.
Linden works for HUB International and Perkins is an instructor in the education department at Sheridan College.
The two were chosen during a special meeting of the District 2 Board of Trustees earlier this week.
They will attend their first board meeting on Monday, September 14th.
