The Johnson County School Board will have their regularly scheduled meeting Monday night and will, among other things, discuss Legislation currently being discussed in Cheyenne.
Superintendent of Public Instruction for Johnson County Dr. Rod Kessler has been attending and overseeing much of the discussions at the Wyoming State Legislature and he will give a report on what is happening. Teacher tenure and accountability are the two main topics of discussion this year.
Kessler talks about the bills that could affect education in the state.
Also at the meeting, the board will hear mid-year reports from the different schools in the district, educational reports for the district and general business reports concerning the district as a whole.
Other business on the agenda, the board will review LG policies, approve employment requests including a Leave of Absence Request, and will discuss Rec Board resignations and appointments.
The meeting is open to the public and will begin at 6pm Monday at the School District Office located at 601 W. Lott Street.
